Bicycle maintenance comes to you!

Announcing the start of Ramblin' Wrench, bringing bicycle maintenance to you. Available to residents of Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset Counties in NJ, I'll come to your place, and either work on your bike there, or bring it back with me, work on it, and deliver it back to you, all cleaned up and maintained. I've got experience on everything from the latest-and-greatest carbon fiber, disk-brake, electronic-shifting showstoppers to bikes sold in department stores; I can do work for you.

Have you bought parts that need installation? If they're compatible, Ramblin' Wrench will install for you.

Did we agree that something needs replacing? I'll email you a link to the item. You can either buy from that source, or, if you can find the item cheaper elsewhere (and it's the same or compatible item), you can buy there. When the item comes in, we'll set up an installation.

Contact Ramblin' Wrench by email. Minimum charge: $40.

Some services

Some of the services I can provide:

  • Basic service: safety check, adjusting cable-pull brakes, check steering and pedal bearings, chain lube, frame & wheel cleaning: $40.
  • Full Service: all of items in Basic Service, plus complete adjustment of shifting systems, wheel truing, deep clean of drivetrain, lubrication of all systems: $80
  • Tire replacement: $15/wheel, plus cost of tire and tube. You save these costs, of course, if you supply the tire and tube. Subject to minimum charge.
  • Install parts: Depend on part. Let's talk.
See also "Building your Boxed Bike" and "Department Store Bike Service".

Department Store Bike Service

If you get a bicycle at Target, Walmart, or another department store, it was assembled by the same folks that put together the basketball hoops and the camping equipment. I don't care about either basketball or camping, but I'll set up your department-store bike so that the systems work. $40. Hit me up so we can get you rolling!

Build your Boxed Bike

Did you get a bike delivered in a box... and now can't figure out exactly how it goes together? I'll build it up for you, and make sure all of the systems work. $100-250, depending on the bike; let's talk. Send an Email to Ramblin' Wrench
